  • Description: A customer-defined age range, according to which the cost, credit, coverage, employee contributions, or employer contributions for benefit plans vary. Age groups can be used alone or in conjunction with other criteria groups to determine these amounts. The system sorts employees into age groups at the time of processing, based on employee data.

    Age group is a component of the SAP PA-BN Benefits module. It is used to define the age range of an employee in order to determine the benefits they are eligible for. Age groups are typically defined by age brackets, such as 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, etc. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use age groups in SAP PA-BN Benefits, you must first define the age groups in the system. This can be done by navigating to the “Age Groups” tab in the Benefits module and entering the desired age brackets. Once the age groups have been defined, they can be assigned to employees in order to determine their eligibility for certain benefits.
