What is closed in SAP MP-APP-DPE - Dynamic Pricing Engine?

  • Component Name: Dynamic Pricing Engine

  • Description: An opportunity status indicating that the opportunity is no longer active can no longer receive bids. It can be reopened from this status and has not yet been finalized. An opportunity can be set to close on a specific date or after a specific time duration based on the rules selected by the initiator. The initiator can also close the opportunity manually.

    The term “closed” in the context of the MP-APP-DPE Dynamic Pricing Engine refers to the status of a pricing rule. A closed pricing rule is one that has been activated and is currently in use. It is not possible to make any changes to a closed pricing rule.

This can be done by selecting the “Create” option from the Dynamic Pricing Engine menu and then entering the necessary information. Once the pricing rule has been created, it can be activated by selecting the “Activate” option from the same menu. Once activated, the pricing rule will be in a closed state and cannot be changed.

    It is important to remember that once a pricing rule has been activated, it cannot be changed or deleted. Therefore, it is important to double-check all information before activating a pricing rule to ensure that it is correct. Additionally, it is recommended to create multiple versions of a pricing rule so that you can easily switch between them if needed.
