  • Key Concepts:
Partial settlement is a feature of SAP Materials Management (MM) that allows users to settle goods receipts and invoices partially. This means that the user can settle only a portion of the goods receipt or invoice, instead of settling the entire amount at once. This feature is useful when dealing with large orders or invoices, as it allows for more flexibility in payment.

    How to use it:
In order to use partial settlement, the user must first create a goods receipt or invoice in SAP MM. Once the document has been created, the user can select the “Partial Settlement” option from the menu. This will open a window where the user can enter the amount they wish to settle. The user can then enter the amount and click “OK” to complete the partial settlement.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using partial settlement, it is important to remember that only a portion of the goods receipt or invoice will be settled. Therefore, it is important to keep track of which portions have been settled and which have not. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all necessary documents are available before attempting to settle any portion of an invoice or goods receipt.
