  • Key Concepts: Stock determination group is a feature in SAP Inventory Management (MM-IM) that allows users to assign a specific stock determination group to a material. This group is used to determine the stock type and storage location for the material when it is being ordered or delivered. The stock determination group can be assigned to a material at the time of creation or can be changed later.
    How to use it: To assign a stock determination group to a material, go to the material master record and select the “Stock Determination Group” field. Enter the desired stock determination group code and save the changes. The stock determination group will now be associated with the material and will be used for all future orders and deliveries of that material.
    Tips & Tricks: It is important to note that the stock determination group is only used when ordering or delivering materials. It does not affect any other processes such as inventory management or production planning.
