What is quantity in SAP MFG-ME - SAP Manufacturing Execution?

  • Description: In relation to materials and SFC numbers, the number of pieces referenced in the shop order, lot, or SFC number. The quantity number of pieces in a shop order may or may not match the number of SFC numbers in the shop order. For example, assume that a shop order is for 10 pieces of a material. If the material's lot size is defined as 1, then 10 SFC numbers are released. However, if the lot size is 5, then only 2 SFC numbers are released. In either case of the example, a quantity of 10 is produced.
