  • Key Concepts: Maximum data age is a setting in SAP Manufacturing Execution (MFG-ME) that determines how long data is stored in the system. It is used to ensure that the system is not overloaded with old data and that only the most up-to-date information is available.
How to use it: To set the maximum data age, go to the MFG-ME settings page and select the “Maximum Data Age” option. Enter the desired number of days that data should be stored in the system. Once this setting is saved, any data older than the specified number of days will be automatically deleted from the system.
Tips & Tricks: It is important to set an appropriate maximum data age for your system. If it is set too low, important data may be deleted before it can be used. If it is set too high, the system may become overloaded with old data and performance may suffer.
