    Serial demotion is a feature of the MFG-CAM SAP Complex Assembly Manufacturing component that allows for the demotion of a serial number from one product to another. This feature is useful when a product needs to be replaced due to a defect or other issue. It allows for the serial number of the defective product to be demoted and assigned to the replacement product, ensuring that the serial number is tracked and accounted for. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use serial demotion, first select the defective product in the MFG-CAM SAP Complex Assembly Manufacturing component. Then select the “Demote Serial Number” option from the menu. Enter the serial number of the defective product and select “Demote”. The serial number will then be demoted and assigned to the replacement product. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When using serial demotion, it is important to ensure that all relevant information about the defective product is recorded before demoting its serial number. This includes any notes about why it was replaced, as well as any other relevant information that may be needed in the future.
