Component: LO-VC
Component Name: Variant Configuration
Description: A sub-task within the whole configuration process. At any given point in time, SAP Internet Pricing and Configurator handles exactly one task. Dependency nets are grouped together using tasks: During the processing of one task, exactly the dependency nets belonging to this task are loaded and evaluated.
Key Concepts: Configuration task is a feature of the LO-VC Variant Configuration component of SAP. It allows users to define and configure product variants, such as different sizes, colors, and materials. The configuration task also allows users to define the dependencies between different product variants. How to use it: To use the configuration task feature, users must first define the characteristics of their product variants. This includes defining the attributes of each variant, such as size, color, and material. Once the characteristics are defined, users can then define the dependencies between different product variants. For example, if a user wants to configure a product with two different sizes, they can define a dependency between the two sizes so that when one size is selected, the other size is automatically deselected. Tips & Tricks: When defining product variants and their dependencies, it is important to consider how customers will interact with the product. For example, if a customer is selecting a product with multiple sizes, they should be able to easily select and deselect different sizes without having to manually adjust other options.
