  • Key Concepts: A characteristic value is a value that is assigned to a characteristic in the Logistics Information System (LIS) component of SAP. Characteristics are used to describe materials, batches, and other objects in the system. Characteristic values are used to further define the characteristics and provide additional information about the object.
    How to use it: Characteristic values can be assigned to characteristics in the LIS component of SAP. To do this, navigate to the “Characteristics” tab in the LIS component and select the characteristic you want to assign a value to. Then, enter the value in the “Value” field and click “Save”.
    Tips & Tricks: When assigning characteristic values, make sure that you enter them in the correct format. For example, if you are entering a date, make sure it is in the correct date format (e.g. DD/MM/YYYY).
