Component Name: Task & Resource Management
Description: A function in which a resource bypasses a task or task bundle assigned to it and not yet started. There are three types of task skip: Force skip - A skip performed by a resource when its task or task bundle cannot be started at all, such as when the task's source bin is inaccessible. The force skipped task is given the status of "Hold" and other resources are prevented from executing it. Voluntary skip - A skip performed by a resource after receiving a task that it currently does not want to perform. The task may be executed by the original resource after it has completed a different task, or by any other suitably qualified resource. Permanent voluntary skip - A skip performed by a resource after receiving a task that it does not want to perform. The resource does not receive this task again while active, and the task may be executed by any other suitably qualified resource.
Key Concepts: Task skip is a feature in SAP LE-TRM Task & Resource Management that allows users to skip certain tasks in a workflow. This feature is useful when certain tasks are not necessary or when the user wants to speed up the process. It can be used to bypass tasks that are not relevant to the current situation or to reduce the amount of time spent on a task. How to use it: Task skip can be enabled by selecting the “Skip” option in the task list. This will allow users to bypass any tasks that are not necessary for the current situation. The skipped tasks will be marked as “skipped” in the task list and will not be included in the workflow. Tips & Tricks: When using task skip, it is important to remember that skipped tasks will not be included in the workflow. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed before skipping any tasks. Additionally, it is important to consider the impact of skipping a task on other tasks in the workflow.
