What is standby power in SAP IS-U-BI - Contract Billing?

  • Description: Electrical power that a utility company keeps on reserve for customers who produce their own energy. This power is used in case there is a temporary full or partial power outage caused by a malfunction, or if there is a shutdown due to an inspection.

    Standby power is a feature of the IS-U-BI Contract Billing component of SAP. It allows customers to pay for electricity that is not used, but is available in case of an emergency.
