What is exception day in SAP IS-U-BI - Contract Billing?

  • Description: Day on which consumsption behavior deviates from that on normal days. Exception days are grouped together in exception groups and are allocated to a time-of-use interface TOU interface.

    Exception day is a feature in the IS-U-BI Contract Billing component of SAP that allows users to define a specific day of the month as an exception day. This exception day can be used to define a different billing cycle for certain customers or contracts. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use the exception day feature, users must first define the exception day in the system. This can be done by navigating to the “Define Exception Day” screen in the IS-U-BI Contract Billing component. Once the exception day is defined, users can then assign it to specific customers or contracts. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When defining an exception day, it is important to note that it must be defined for each calendar year. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all contracts and customers that should have an exception day assigned have one assigned before running any billing processes.
