What is default program in SAP IS-PMED-PE - Patient Engagement?

  • Description: A program that is assigned to all the patients in the system. A default program does not need to be explicitly assigned to a patient. If a default program contains legal documents, all the patients must sign the document. Only one default program can exist in the system.

    Default program is a feature of the IS-PMED-PE Patient Engagement component of SAP. It allows users to set up a default program for each patient, which will be used as the default program for all future visits. This helps to streamline the patient experience and ensure that the same program is used for each visit. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To set up a default program, users must first create a program in the IS-PMED-PE Patient Engagement component. Once the program is created, users can select it as the default program for each patient. This can be done by selecting the “Set as Default Program” option in the patient’s profile. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to remember that the default program will only be used for future visits. If a patient has already had a visit with a different program, that program will still be used for that visit. 
    
    Related Information: 
    The IS-PMED-PE Patient Engagement component also allows users to create custom programs for each patient. This can be done by selecting the “Create Custom Program” option in the patient’s profile.
