  • Description: Product types are materials that are either produced from or injected into wells. They are usually the following: Oil Water Gas/natural gas methane, ethane, propane, natural gas liquids Condensate Carbondioxide, CO2 Sour gas, H2S Nitrogen, N Sediment Chemicals for enhanced oil recovery EOR or inhibition.

    How to use it: 
    In the IS-OIL-UOM-MD UOM Master Data component, product types are used to define the unit of measure for a material or service. This is done by assigning a product type to a material or service in the Material Master or Service Master. The product type will then determine the unit of measure for that material or service. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When assigning a product type to a material or service, it is important to ensure that the product type is appropriate for that material or service. This will ensure that the correct unit of measure is assigned to the material or service.
