• Description: Constitutes the smallest unit in a schedule. A time slot is the smallest time unit that can be booked for a resource. More than one time slot can exist for each time. For example, a care unit with 20 beds thus makes available 20 different time slots at a time. An appointment can be allocated to one or more time slots. Consequently, a time slot can have the following different statuses: Booked: Appointment is allocated to the time slot Blocked: Time slot is reserved for other purposes, for example, maintenance Free: Time slot is available for planning
