• Description: The replacement of a drug or ingredient by an equivalent drug or an ingredient with the same agent composition and dosage form. The ordered dose remains the same. The system re-calculates the quantity keeping the same dose. &EXAMPLE& Two 100 mg tablets aspirin are ordered. The physician replaces these tablets by one 200 mg tablet ASS.
