The formulary comprises a list of all drugs that can be administered or dispensed and is not the entire drug catalog. &EXAMPLE& If a physician wants to order a drug that is not intended for the above mentioned purposes for example, administration, they can search for the drug by setting the "Special Request" indicator to explicitly not include the purpose in the search. The result of this method is an order that is flagged as a special drug request.
