What is pending confirmation in SAP IS-HMED - Clinical System?

  • Description: Internal status of a clinical order that has been entered in Service Ordering Smart UI and sent to the responsible role for example, physician who has authorization to confirm but is not yet confirmed.

  • Key Concepts: 
    Pending Confirmation is a status in the IS-HMED Clinical System that indicates that a patient's appointment has been scheduled, but the patient has not yet confirmed the appointment. This status is used to help ensure that the patient is aware of their appointment and that it is still valid. 
    
    How to use it: 
    When scheduling an appointment for a patient, the user should select the “Pending Confirmation” status. This will indicate that the appointment has been scheduled, but the patient has not yet confirmed it. The user should then contact the patient to confirm the appointment. Once the patient has confirmed, the user should update the status to “Confirmed”. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to contact patients as soon as possible after scheduling an appointment to ensure that they are aware of it and can confirm it. Additionally, it is important to update the status of an appointment as soon as possible after a patient confirms it so that other users are aware of its status.
