What is order scheduling in SAP IS-AFS-SD - Sales and Distribution?

SAP Term: order scheduling

  • Component: IS-AFS-SD

  • Component Name: Sales and Distribution

  • Description: The option of controlling the delivery dates of the individual items and schedule lines during the order processing. Since the availability check in the AFS system takes place for each individual schedule line of an item, the various schedule lines might be confirmed for very different delivery dates, especially in the case of extensive items. Using the order scheduling, you can group schedule lines in delivery groups. You can cause, for example, the schedule lines whose confirmed delivery dates are in approximately the same time period to be delivered on the date at which all the requested materials are available.
