What is 'country group' in SAP IS-AFS-MM - Materials Management?

  • Key Concepts: Country groups are used in SAP Materials Management (MM) to group countries together for the purpose of creating a single purchasing document for multiple countries. This allows for a more efficient and cost-effective way of managing purchasing documents.
    How to use it: In order to use country groups, you must first create a country group in the SAP system. This can be done by going to the “Country Group” tab in the MM module and selecting “Create”. Once the country group is created, you can assign countries to it by selecting “Assign Countries” from the same tab.
    Tips & Tricks: When creating a country group, it is important to consider which countries should be included in the group. It is best to include countries that have similar purchasing requirements and regulations, as this will make it easier to manage the purchasing documents.
