Description: Incentive and Commission Management The qualifying authorizations that are assigned to a user. They can be identified using the name of an authorization object and the name of an authorization. The authorization profile is entered in the user's master record. This means the user receives all the authorizations contained in this profile. A distinction is made between individual profiles and collective profiles.
Key Concepts: An authorization profile is a set of rules that define the access rights of a user in SAP ICM Incentive and Commission Management. It is used to control which users can view, edit, or delete data in the system. The authorization profile also defines which functions a user can perform, such as creating new plans or running reports. How to use it: To create an authorization profile, go to the Authorization tab in the ICM system. Select the “Create Authorization Profile” option and enter the desired name for the profile. Then, select the users who should have access to this profile and assign them the appropriate roles and permissions. Finally, save the profile and it will be ready for use. Tips & Tricks: When creating an authorization profile, it is important to consider which users need access to which functions. For example, if a user only needs to view data but not edit it, then they should be assigned a “Viewer” role instead of an “Editor” role. This will ensure that they cannot make any changes to the system without permission.
