What is cession group in SAP FS-RI - Reinsurance?

SAP Term: cession group

  • Component: FS-RI

  • Component Name: Reinsurance

  • Description: The cession group is a key feature of the Risk Manager functions. It bundles together the risks that are assigned within an accumulation or policy to the obligatory reinsurance program. The obligatory retentions and capacities then apply as a whole to a cession group. This means: - There is a retention for the previous insurance elements assigned to a cession group. - The assigned reinsurance capacity exists only once for the previous insurance elements. Reinsured risks with the category "Cession" are created in the system automatically or manually in groups.
