What is reset in SAP FS-PM - Policy Management?

  • Component Name: Policy Management

  • Description: Annullment of the current policy status and simultaneous reactivation of an older policy status. After the policy is reset, the status is visible in the application business object, and the processor has to release the application again. This is neither replacement business, nor a product change, nor a reversal.

    Reset is a feature in SAP FS-PM Policy Management that allows users to reset the policy status of a policy to its original state. This is useful when a policy has been changed or modified and the user wants to revert back to the original version. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To reset a policy in SAP FS-PM Policy Management, open the policy and select the “Reset” option from the menu. This will reset the policy status back to its original state. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to note that resetting a policy will not delete any changes that have been made, but rather just revert the policy back to its original state. It is also important to remember that resetting a policy will not affect any other policies that are linked to it.
