Component: FS-PM
Component Name: Policy Management
Description: View of the data of a policy and its contracts on a specific effective date.
Key Concepts: Policy snapshot is a feature of the SAP FS-PM Policy Management component that allows users to save a copy of their policy configuration at a certain point in time. This snapshot can then be used to compare the current policy configuration with the saved version, or to restore the policy configuration to the saved version. How to use it: To create a policy snapshot, users must first select the policy they wish to save. Then, they can click on the “Create Snapshot” button in the Policy Management window. This will create a copy of the policy configuration at that point in time. To view or restore a policy snapshot, users can select the “Snapshots” tab in the Policy Management window and select the desired snapshot. Tips & Tricks: It is important to note that policy snapshots are not automatically created when changes are made to a policy configuration. Users must manually create snapshots if they wish to save their current configuration. Additionally, it is recommended that users create snapshots before making any major changes to their policy configuration, as this will allow them to easily revert back if needed.
