What is fine control value in SAP FS-PM - Policy Management?

• Description: Within a change category, fine control decides which time model function is executed first when a date is reached. If nothing else takes precedence, the time model functions are executed in ascending order, according to their fine control. Unscheduled time model functions determine their fine control value with the date file. Therefore, these time model functions do not have a value.

  Fine control value is a feature of the SAP FS-PM Policy Management component. It is used to define the level of control that is applied to a particular policy. The fine control value can be set to either “high” or “low”, and determines the level of detail that is required when setting up a policy.

  To use the fine control value, first select the policy you want to set up. Then, select the “fine control value” option from the menu. You will then be able to choose either “high” or “low” as the fine control value for that policy.

  When setting up a policy, it is important to consider the level of detail that is required for that particular policy. If you are setting up a policy that requires a high level of detail, then you should set the fine control value to “high”. On the other hand, if you are setting up a policy that does not require a high level of detail, then you should set the fine control value to “low”.
