Key Concepts: Effective Level is a concept used in SAP FS-PM Policy Management. It is used to define the level of detail that is required for a policy to be effective. It can be set to either “Detailed” or “Summary”. When set to “Detailed”, all the details of the policy must be specified in order for it to be effective. When set to “Summary”, only the main points of the policy need to be specified in order for it to be effective. How to use it: The Effective Level setting can be found in the SAP FS-PM Policy Management system. To access it, go to the “Settings” tab and select “Effective Level”. From there, you can choose either “Detailed” or “Summary”. Once you have chosen your desired setting, click “Save” and your policy will be effective at the chosen level. Tips & Tricks: When setting the Effective Level, it is important to consider the complexity of your policy and how much detail is necessary for it to be effective. If your policy is complex and requires a lot of detail, then it is best to set the Effective Level to “Detailed”. If your policy is simpler and only requires a few main points, then it is best to set the Effective Level to “Summary”.
