  • Key Concepts:
Mapping is a process in SAP Profitability and Performance Management (FS-PER) that allows users to assign values from one set of data to another. This process is used to create relationships between different sets of data, such as assigning cost centers to cost elements or assigning customer segments to product groups.

    How to use it:
Mapping in FS-PER is done through the Mapping Editor. This editor allows users to create mappings between different sets of data by selecting the source and target values and assigning them a relationship. The Mapping Editor also allows users to create rules for mapping, such as assigning a specific value if the source value is greater than a certain amount.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating mappings in FS-PER, it is important to ensure that all of the source and target values are correctly assigned. It is also important to double-check the rules that are created for each mapping, as incorrect rules can lead to incorrect results.
