  • Description: A business object that depicts the transition of a contract's source product to a target product. The target product can be a new product version of the source product or a completely different product. The system always chooses the valid product version of the target product. Product changes can be carried out for the following contract specializations: Account Card Card pool The product change function consists essentially of rules that define whether the characteristic values of the attributes of the source contract or those of the target product are to take precedence. Historical data of the contract is not affected. Central data such as the business partner or the internal contract number of the account contract is excluded from the product change. In the Account Management system, changes to the contract basis are managed as an order by Order Management.
