What is implicit reservation in SAP FS-MCM-FAC - Facilities?

SAP Term: implicit reservation

  • Component: FS-MCM-FAC

  • Component Name: Facilities

  • Description: An implicit reservation is also a reserved amount for utilization under a reservation ID. Implicit reservations are more technical then explicitreservations. In principle, any change of utiliztion submitted to a facility is first stored as an explicit or implicit reservation. However, implicit reservations will always be incorporated in the calculation of utilization to either utilize a Global Limit directly or to consume an explicit reservation. Therefore, implicit reservations only exist at a database level, but are never visible individually in any business-related key figures.
