What is processing mode in SAP FS-MCM-CSL - Combined Settlement?


SAP Term: processing mode

  • Component: FS-MCM-CSL

  • Component Name: Combined Settlement

  • Description: A control parameter that determines when the processing steps of a combined settlement are worked through. In the case of synchronous processing mode, all the processing steps are carried out without interruption. In the case of asynchronous processing mode, processing is interrupted after the processing of certain steps and then triggered again once certain information has been provided.

    Processing mode is a feature of the FS-MCM-CSL Combined Settlement component of SAP. It allows users to define how the system should process the settlement documents. The processing mode can be set to either “Automatic” or “Manual”. In Automatic mode, the system will automatically process the documents, while in Manual mode, the user must manually process them. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To set the processing mode, go to the FS-MCM-CSL Combined Settlement component in SAP and select “Settings”. Then select “Processing Mode” and choose either “Automatic” or “Manual”. Once you have selected your desired processing mode, click “Save” to apply the changes. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is recommended to use Automatic mode whenever possible, as it will save time and effort by automatically processing documents. However, if you need more control over how documents are processed, Manual mode may be a better option.
