The system calculates the interest daily. This result can either be credit interest or a combination of debit interest and overdraft interest. If the result on a certain day of the settlement period is credit interest, the system only distributes this credit interest to accounts with a credit balance. I the result on a certain day of the settlement period is debit interest, the system only distributes this debit interest to accounts with a negative balance. If the result on a certain day of the settlement period is overdraft interest, the system also only distributes this overdraft interest to accounts with a negative balance. No master contracts may participate in the contract relationship.
