What is cost overrun in SAP FS-CM - Claims Management?

SAP Term: cost overrun

  • Component: FS-CM

  • Component Name: Claims Management

  • Description: Amount for benefits with dental treatment that go beyond the agreed scope. When insureds in a German statutory insurance opt for dental restoration that goes beyond the benefits entitlement, the insurer reimburses only those costs incurred for benefits that are part of the agreed scope. Insureds must pay for the cost overrun themselves. If the insured has a private supplementary insurance, this would cover such costs.
