• Description: A grouping of all the characteristics that the system uses in the analyses. Field instances are set up and activated in Customizing. Once they have been activated, the system generates the internal processing structures, including the RDB package types, which it needs for the analyses. In , the user defines some characteristics as granularity characteristics, and also defines their sort sequence. In doing so, the user also defines how data is compressed in the valuation run, and the sequence in which granularity characteristics are selected from the InfoSet.
