When a document is posted to a contract with a posting lock, the system will check if the contract has been released before allowing the document to be posted.   It is important to remember that the posting lock feature only applies to documents that are posted to contracts. Documents that are posted outside of contracts are not affected by the posting lock. Additionally, it is important to note that the posting lock feature does not prevent users from editing or deleting documents that have already been posted.
