Description: A function for personalizing the consolidation monitor for specific roles or users. When the tasks are executed, the system adheres to this sequence up to and including the cutoff task. &EXAMPLE& In your group subsidiaries, you want the accountants to see only those tasks that are relevant -- for example, all tasks from data collection to the cutoff task for currency translation.
Key Concepts: A cutoff task is a type of task in the Business Consolidation component of SAP. It is used to define the period of time for which data should be included in a consolidation process. Cutoff tasks are used to ensure that only data from the specified period is included in the consolidation process, and that any data from outside of that period is excluded. How to use it: To use a cutoff task, first select the period of time for which you want to include data in the consolidation process. Then, create a new task in the Business Consolidation component and select “Cutoff” as the type of task. Finally, enter the start and end dates for the period of time you want to include in the consolidation process. Tips & Tricks: When creating a cutoff task, it is important to make sure that all data from within the specified period is included and that any data from outside of that period is excluded. To ensure this, it is best practice to set the start date for the cutoff task one day before the start of the period you want to include, and set the end date one day after the end of the period you want to include.
