What is UID number in SAP FI - Financial Accounting?


SAP Term: UID number

  • Component Name: Financial Accounting

  • Description: A unique number assigned by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office FSO to each enterprise in Switzerland for identification purposes. As of January 2011, Swiss enterprises are required by law to use the UID number. This number replaces all other previous identification numbers including the tax identification numbers used by the public administration to identify Swiss enterprises.
