  • Description: The reporting currency is one that is used in the consolidated financial statements. It is also known as group currency. Before the consolidation process can be completed,all values from the individual financial statements must be converted to reporting currency.

    Reporting currency is a term used in the FI-LC Consolidation component of SAP. It is the currency used to report the financial results of a company or group of companies. This currency is usually different from the local currency of the company or group of companies. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use reporting currency, you must first set up a reporting currency in the system. This can be done by going to the Financial Accounting (FI) module and selecting the “Currency” tab.
