  • Key Concepts: Group-external is a term used in the FI-LC Consolidation component of SAP. It refers to a consolidation group that is not part of the consolidation group hierarchy. Group-external groups are used to consolidate data from external sources, such as other companies or subsidiaries, into the consolidation group hierarchy.
    How to use it: Group-external groups can be created in the FI-LC Consolidation component of SAP. To do this, go to the “Consolidation Groups” tab and select “Create Group-External” from the dropdown menu. Enter the required information, such as the name of the group and its parent group, and click “Save”. The group-external group will now be available for use in consolidations.
    Tips & Tricks: When creating a group-external group, make sure to enter all required information accurately. This will ensure that the data from external sources is correctly consolidated into the consolidation group hierarchy.
