Key Concepts: Data cutoff is a feature in SAP FI-GL General Ledger Accounting that allows users to limit the amount of data that is processed in a particular period. This feature is useful for reducing the amount of time it takes to process large amounts of data, as well as for ensuring that only the most up-to-date data is used. How to use it: Data cutoff can be enabled by navigating to the “Data Cutoff” tab in the FI-GL General Ledger Accounting module. From there, users can select the period they wish to limit data processing for, as well as the type of data they wish to limit (e.g. postings, documents, etc.). Once these settings are saved, only data from the specified period will be processed. Tips & Tricks: When using data cutoff, it is important to remember that any data from before the cutoff period will not be processed. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all necessary data has been entered before enabling this feature. Additionally, it is important to remember that any changes made after the cutoff period will not be reflected in the results until the next processing period.
