  • Key Concepts:
Multiple-shift depreciation is a feature of SAP's FI-AA Asset Accounting component that allows for the depreciation of an asset over multiple shifts. This means that the asset can be depreciated over different periods of time, depending on the shift in which it is used. This allows for more accurate and efficient depreciation calculations.

    How to use it:
To use multiple-shift depreciation, you must first set up the asset in the system. Once the asset is set up, you can then assign it to a shift and specify the depreciation period for that shift. You can also specify different depreciation rates for each shift, allowing you to customize the depreciation calculation for each asset.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up multiple-shift depreciation, it is important to ensure that all of the shifts are properly configured and that the correct depreciation rates are applied. Additionally, it is important to keep track of any changes made to the asset or its depreciation period, as these changes may affect the overall depreciation calculation.
