• Description: A connection between an object for example, a table in a document and a data source. This connection allows refreshing the data in the document as soon as changes have been applied in the source system. For example, if you have a table in a Microsoft Word document, you can create a datalink from this table to a data cache. When you perform a content refresh in the Microsoft Word document, the system retrieves new data from the datalinked data cache and updates the data in the Word table.
