M-M journal - Details

  • Key Concepts: M-M journal is a type of journal entry in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC). It is used to transfer data between two different accounts, such as from one cost center to another. The M-M journal is also known as a “movement” journal, as it moves data from one account to another.
How to use it: To use an M-M journal, you must first create a journal entry in BPC. You can then select the “M-M” option from the drop-down menu. This will open up a new window where you can enter the source and target accounts for the data transfer. Once you have entered the source and target accounts, you can enter the amount of data to be transferred and click “Save” to complete the journal entry.
Tips & Tricks: When creating an M-M journal, it is important to ensure that the source and target accounts are correct. If you enter incorrect information, it could result in incorrect data being transferred or even data loss. Additionally, it is important to double-check your entries before saving the journal entry, as mistakes cannot be undone once saved.
