  • Key Concepts:
Lock life span is a feature of the SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) PIN Portal Infrastructure component. It is used to control the amount of time a user can remain logged in to the portal. After the lock life span has expired, the user will be logged out and will need to log in again.

    How to use it:
The lock life span can be set in the EP-PIN Portal Infrastructure component. The administrator can set the lock life span to any desired length of time, such as one hour, two hours, or more. Once the lock life span has expired, the user will be logged out and will need to log in again.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to set an appropriate lock life span for your portal. Too short of a lock life span may cause users to be logged out too frequently, while too long of a lock life span may leave the portal vulnerable to unauthorized access.
