  • Description: An object embedded or contained within another, such as iViews to pages,worksets to roles, and sub-folders to folders. Portal permissions in objects are passed on from parent to child, and so on.

    Child objects are used to store additional information related to the parent object. For example, if you have a customer record in the parent object, you can create a child object to store additional information such as contact details, payment information, etc.
