  • Key Concepts: Variation is a term used in SAP Information Steward (EIM-IS) to describe the differences between two data sets. It is used to compare the differences between two versions of the same data set, or to compare the differences between two different data sets. Variation can be used to identify discrepancies, outliers, and other anomalies in the data.
    How to use it: In SAP Information Steward, variation can be used to compare two different versions of the same data set or two different data sets. To do this, select the “Variation” option from the main menu. This will open a window where you can select the two data sets you want to compare. Once you have selected the two data sets, click “Compare” and SAP Information Steward will generate a report showing the differences between the two data sets.
    Tips & Tricks: When using variation in SAP Information Steward, it is important to remember that it is only able to compare two data sets at a time. If you need to compare more than two data sets, you will need to use another tool such as Microsoft Excel or Tableau.
