  • Key Concepts:
Substitution parameter configuration is a feature of SAP Data Services (EIM-DS) that allows users to define parameters that can be used to replace values in a data source. This feature is useful for creating dynamic data sources that can be used in multiple scenarios.

    How to use it:
To use substitution parameter configuration, users must first define the parameters they want to use. This can be done in the Data Services Designer by selecting the “Parameters” tab and then clicking “Add Parameter”. Once the parameters have been defined, they can be used in the data source by selecting the “Substitution Parameters” tab and then selecting the desired parameter from the drop-down list.

    Tips & Tricks:
When defining parameters, it is important to give them meaningful names so that they are easy to identify when using them in a data source. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the data type of the parameter matches the data type of the value it is replacing.
