  • Key Concepts:
A reusable object is a feature of SAP Data Services that allows users to store and reuse data transformation logic. This feature enables users to create a single transformation that can be used in multiple jobs, saving time and effort. Reusable objects are stored in the Data Services Repository and can be accessed from any job.

    How to use it:
To use a reusable object, first create the transformation logic in the Data Services Designer. Once the logic is complete, save it as a reusable object in the Data Services Repository. To use the reusable object in a job, open the job in the Data Services Designer and drag and drop the reusable object into the job. The transformation logic will be applied to the data as part of the job.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating reusable objects, it is important to ensure that all of the necessary parameters are included in the transformation logic. This will ensure that the reusable object can be used in any job without having to make changes to the logic. Additionally, it is important to give each reusable object a descriptive name so that it can be easily identified when searching for it in the repository.
