Description: A value passed to a work flow or data flow when that flow is called.
Key Concepts: A parameter is a value that is used to control the behavior of a Data Services job. Parameters can be used to control the flow of a job, such as when to run certain tasks or how to handle errors. Parameters can also be used to pass values from one job to another, such as passing a date range from one job to another. How to use it: Parameters can be set in the Data Services Designer. To set a parameter, select the job and click on the Parameters tab. Here you can add, edit, and delete parameters. You can also set default values for parameters and specify whether they are required or optional. Tips & Tricks: When setting parameters, it is important to make sure that the data type of the parameter matches the data type of the value that will be passed in. For example, if you are passing in a date value, make sure that the parameter is set to a date data type.
