object version - Details

  • Key Concepts: Object version is a feature of the SAP Data Services (EIM-DS) component that allows users to store multiple versions of an object. This feature allows users to keep track of changes made to an object over time, and to easily revert back to a previous version if needed.
How to use it: Object versioning can be enabled in the Data Services Designer. Once enabled, users can create multiple versions of an object by selecting the “Create Version” option from the object’s context menu. The versions are stored in the repository and can be accessed from the “Versions” tab in the object’s properties window.
Tips & Tricks: When creating a new version of an object, it is important to provide a meaningful description of the changes made. This will help other users understand why a particular version was created and what changes were made.
