  • Key Concepts:
Locality is a concept used in SAP Data Services (EIM-DS) to define the location of data sources and targets. It is used to define the physical location of the data, such as a server, database, or file system. Locality also defines the access methods used to access the data, such as ODBC, JDBC, or FTP.

    How to use it:
In order to use locality in SAP Data Services, you must first create a locality object. This object contains information about the physical location of the data source or target, as well as the access methods used to access it. Once the locality object is created, it can be used in Data Services jobs to define where data should be read from or written to.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a locality object, make sure to specify the correct access methods for the data source or target. For example, if you are accessing a database, make sure to specify the correct JDBC driver for that database.
